“
And should those who
worship me ask you about how far or near I am to them, should know that I am
indeed near to them;
and whoever calls me I shall respond to his
supplication; (but) they must accept what I invite them to do,
and should join me in order to be properly
guided”.

Night
Prayer is in four parts
It
should be conducted after the darkness of night until the third of night.
After
Woo-Zoo (the structured wash up procedure), stand facing
The intent
to pray should be remembered in heart. However, it is better to be said (aloud)
(Open
your hands and bring them up, such that your thumbs are in the same elevation
as your ears and announce your intention)
I will perform the four parts of the Night Prayers
قربة الی الله: For the sake of closeness to God
(And then
say :)
الله اکبر: God is the Greatest (supreme)
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful. بسـم الله الرحمن
الرحيم:
All praise to God, the Creator and
Nurturer of the worlds, الحمد لله رب العالمين:
الرحمن الرحيم: Most Gracious and Merciful
Ruler of the Day of Judgment; مالک
يوم الدين:
اياک نعبد: You alone do we worship
و اياک نستعين: and You alone do we ask for help,
to guide us in the correct and straight
path (towards You), اهدنا الصراط
المستقيم:
صراط الذين انعمت عليهم: the path of those, whom You have greatly blessed,
غيرالمغضوب عليهم: not of those subjected to anger,
ولا الضالين: nor of those who
deviated and strayed (into the wrong directions) !
(At this
point, we will read another section of Quran; such as the chapter Sincerity)
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم: In the Name of God, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.
قل هو الله احد: Say: “God is Unique!
الله الصمد: God is absolutely independent (and all are dependent upon
God);
لم يلد ولم يولد: He has not fathered anyone nor was He fathered
ولم يکن له کفواّ احد: And there is nothing comparable to Him!”
الله اکبر: God is the Greatest (supreme)
(At
this point we bow in the presence of God and we say :)
سبحان ربی العظيم و بحمده: Him Praise to Almighty God who is the Greatest and I am
worshiping
(At this point, we stand straight up and we say :)
سمع الله لمن حمده الله اکبر: God heard the one who was praising and
worshiping Him;
God is the Greatest (supreme)
(At
this point, we sit down and place our forehead on the grand “Soo-Jood” and we say :)
سبحان ربی الا علی و بحمده: Praise to Almighty God who is the
Highest and I am worshiping Him
(In the “Soo-Jood”
we place our head on the ground humbly and try to comprehend the Magnificence
of Almighty God)
(At this
point, we sit up and we say :)
الله اکبر: God is the Greatest (supreme)
استغفر الله ربی
وأتوب إليه: I am asking my God to forgive me and I am coming
back to Him
الله اکبر: God is the Greatest (supreme)
(At this point, we place our forehead on the
grand again and will say :)
سبحان ربی الا علی و بحمده: Praise to Almighty God who is the Highest and I am worshiping
Him
الله اکبر: God is the Greatest (supreme)
(At this point, we stand up straight and while
doing that, we could optionally say :)
بحول الله و قوته أقوم و أقعد: With the will and the power of God, I
stand and sit
(The beginning of the second part)
الله اکبر: God is the Greatest (supreme)

آتـنا فی الدنيا حسنه و فی الاخرة حسنة و قنا عذاب النار:
Oh, Our God: In this world and the hereafter,
bring us good things and keep us away from the punishment
by the fire (of Hell)
(At
this point we bow in the presence of God and we say :)
سبحان ربی العظيم و بحمده: Him Praise to Almighty God who is the Greatest and
I am worshiping
(At this point, we stand straight up and we say :)
سمع الله لمن حمده الله اکبر: God heard the one who was praising and worshiping Him;
God is the Greatest (supreme)
(At this point, we sit down and place our
forehead on the grand “Soo-Jood” and we say :)
سبحان ربی الا علی و بحمده: Praise to Almighty God who is the
Highest and I am worshiping Him

And I testify that Muhammad is His servant and His
prophet
اللهم صل علی محمد وآل محمد: May
God, bless Muhammad and his followers
(which include his
family)
(At this point, we stand up straight and while
doing that, we could optionally say :)
بحول الله و قوته أقوم و أقعد: With the will and the power of God, I
