The
concept of God in Islam: By Dr.
Gilani; April 2004 Presented at the |
Since time immemorial, people have worshipped deities in the form
of symbols, statues,
certain animals, paintings,
ancestors, saints, spirits, angels, and other human beings such as kings,
emperors, prophet, pharaohs, etc.
About 1400 years ago, a man who spent many years in meditation and
contemplation,
reported the apparition of an angelic
being, gradually relaying to him, messages from God, The Creator.
It started like this:
“In the name of God, most Gracious and Merciful.
Read in the name of your Creator – Lord – Nurturer;
Who created humans of a suspending (leech like) being”
(early microscopic stage of development in

This “
More:
17:23
“Your God-Lord Nurturer decreed that you shall not worship anyone
but God and to be kind to parents”
59:24
“God is the Creator of things from nothingness, giving shapes to
things; to God belong beautiful Names;
By God’s decree
revolve whatever is in Heavens and Earth and God is the Ultimately Unique
Powerful and Wise.”
6:103
“Eyes do not perceive God, but God perceives eyes and God is the
Absolute Accurate Knower of all.”
112: 1,2,3,4
“Say : God is the One Unique Creator. Only God is self sufficient
and all depend upon God.
God does
not produce children, but creates all and is not born, and none is equal to
God!
